26 Jan Salesforce Spring ’26: Smarter UI, Smarter Data, and AI Agents by Your Side
Alright, Trailblazers, Salesforce Spring ’26 is here! This release pushes AI closer to being a practical assistant rather than just another feature toggle, helping teams work faster and with less manual cleanup when it is configured correctly. Salesforce is cleaning up legacy systems and bringing previously “off-platform” data directly into the platform, giving AI agents better access to the context they need to understand your business. The result? Fewer mundane tasks, better insights, and a Salesforce thats starting to feel alive.
Preparing for an AI-First Future
To fully embrace this AI-driven future, Salesforce is retiring some legacy tech. Security updates like full VF Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) enforcement are now active, legacy hostname redirection is ending, and Microsoft EWS users must migrate to Microsoft Graph. Legacy EAC reporting tools retire in Summer ’26, which means teams using historical activity data should start planning migrations now to avoid reporting gaps. The ECI Migration Tool ensures your transcripts are on-platform, ready for AI. New legacy Connected Apps are no longer supported, so modern authentication is key.
AI Agents That Actually Get Work Done
Service Cloud agents now come with memory upgrades. With Agent Session Continuity, AI remembers the details of a case for up to three days, so nothing falls through the cracks. New Lead Qualification logic ensures digital teammates focus on the right prospects. The Inbound Lead Generation Agent kickstarts your sales cycle. Meanwhile, the Lead Nurturing (SDR) Agent can auto-assign up to 200 historic leads at once, allowing us to supercharge lead nurturing from day one. Smooth hand-offs between Lead Generation and Lead Nurturing agents mean every prospect stays in motion.

A Smarter, More Connected Sales Experience
The new Sales Workspace replaces the standard Sales Home page, surfacing insights so reps can work seamlessly alongside agents. Sales Cloud Everywhere now offers a persistent side panel outside Gmail, keeping your CRM tools handy wherever you are. Custom Lightning Web Components can be added directly to Dashboards, and smarter email reporting (tracking Message Type and Content Insights) lets you see exactly how customers engage with your outreach.Einstein Conversation Insights (ECI) data now lives natively on Salesforce, making it instantly accessible to AI Agents, Flow, Apex, and Prompt Builder. Every customer call can now trigger smarter, faster business processes in real time.

Streamlined Service and Experience Clouds
The new Case Timeline lets agents track the full lifecycle visually, while original case attachments are viewable directly from the case page. Real-Time Translations now work for service emails, helping global teams communicate effortlessly. Even your customer-facing portals get an upgrade: the Experience Cloud HTML Editor now supports new tags, including audio, so you can integrate voice and sound directly into the user experience.

Flow Enhancements for Admins
Admins get more power and flexibility in Flow Builder. A new Flow Logs tab provides real-time performance insights, and the canvas is decluttered with collapsible branches and smooth keyboard or drag navigation. New features include a Request Approval component for autolaunched flows and enhanced Screenflow settings for messages and prompts. Beta features like Kanban Boards and file previews inside Screen Flows make automation more interactive and user-friendly than ever.

Looking Ahead
Spring ’26 isn’t just about new features. It’s about smarter workflows, better insights, and true collaboration between humans and AI. By surfacing AI activity alongside your day-to-day work, Salesforce gives admins and users more control, driving more effective customer engagement. Some updates, like Inbox and EAC migrations, require attention, but the payoff is worth it: a faster, more intuitive, AI-powered Salesforce that works with you, not against you.
